About Us

This site was begun on June 26, 2006. Our goal is to keep the memories of this classic park alive and update you on where all the rides and attractions are now. A group named Save Liberyland! fought for eight months to save the park. We might not have saved the whole park, but I believe we did save the Zippin Pippin and the carousel. Without Save Libertyland's effort, the park would have been auctioned off in early 2006.

People always say that every cloud has a silver lining. The closing of this great park may allow for more doors to open in Memphis's amusement park industry. Libertyland, no matter how far apart its pieces are, will always hold a special place in me. I rode my first wooden coaster their, and conquered my fear of looping coasters on Revolution. I feel I owe it to the park to build this tribute to remember.

I will admit, I used to put down and criticize the park. Face it, it wasn't a Six Flags park, but it was better than a "parking lot" park. It had great bicentenial theming and shady tree's throughout the park. The park was always clean and had a great essence to it.
